Client Testimonials

Nov. 14 2005

I would like to express my gratitude today by writing this testimonial. One evening after work I experienced extreme pain in my lower left abdomen and lower back – kidney area.  The pain seemed very close to what is being described when passing a kidney stone.  Martine worked with Reflexology on my feet and acupressure on various acu-points. I am not exactly sure of everything she did, because the pain was rather excruciating. After maybe an hour or so the pain left.

Even now after 2 weeks, I am pain free and it has not returned.  I don’t know if it was a kidney stone or not, but whatever caused that pain is gone.

Thank you, sincerely

When I was asked to give a testimonial for Martine I jumped at the chance.  I had been a sufferer of plantar fasciitis, which is a very painful affliction.  I am a teacher, so that means I am on my feet 85% of the time.  This affliction caused severe pain in both heels.  I limped and walked with the pace of a person twice my age.  Standing was also painful and left my feet throbbing.  I had gone to the podiatrist, received cortisone shots, and attended physical therapy all of which did not help.  I was in constant pain.  I am now able to walk with ease, stand and started wearing shoes with more glamour, which was impossible before without intensifying the pain.  I am happy to have Martine as my regular regimen of therapy for myself and my feet. To Others With Heel Pain:  I was crippled with Plantar Fasciitis. Plantar Fasciitis is pain in the heel region.

Regretfully, it is an all inclusive term used by physicians who don't know diddly about it. General symptoms are heel pain that can move around day to day. Usually, it is a sharp pain in the heel. Sometimes it seems to be an internal burning feeling.  Worst in the morning, the pain goes down during the day, then back up in the evening. Most cases the doctors can't do anything about, and don't have a clue.

Mine x-rayed my heel, gave a 1 second or less glance at the x-ray, gave a steroid shot he knew would not help, and said to live with it.

Obviously, different symptoms may mean different causes, and therefore, different cures. Some cases are helped by arch supports. Some are helped by night splints that keep the Achilles tendon stretched.

IF a person has my EXACT symptoms, Martine or her technique may help.

My symptoms were all the standards above,BUT IT DEFINATELY FELT LIKE I HAD LITTLE ROCKS UNDER MY HEEL BONE INSIDE, like 2 or 3 pieces of pea gravel in your shoe under your heel. It became so bad that I was limping on the right foot all the time. Then, after a year of being crippled, when the left heel started hurting also, I went to an alternative health approach.

Martine Meuret used Reflexology on me.  The same "AMA doctors" that scream quackery at  chiropractors and Vitamins and Minerals scream quackery at Reflexology. The truth remains, the AMA foot "specialist" could do nothing for me. They have NO CLUE about Plantar Fasciitis, and Martine Meuret helped to clear the pain. Sometimes there is still some soreness in my heels, but it is under control, and I am not crippled any more.

Specifically, she used her thumbs to feel around the heel area, and pressure massaged in ESSENTIAL OILS,  like Lavender Oil, Lemon Oil, and many other flower and herb oils. The oils are just part of it, like the relaxing oriental background music, and other kinds of things, like Bach Flowers under the tongue.  With the first session, the inflammation was down, and my feet just plain felt a little better.

On the fourth session, the swelling was down enough in the left foot (the not so bad one) that she  felt a couple small bumps under the skin. She could move them back and forth, so they were not  attached to the bone.  I think of them as little pea sized plaques of excess "calcium" or something my body is plating out.

In a couple more sessions, she used a smooth rock shaped roughly like a thumb (like a river  smoothed rock) and used it to crush the little plaques.

The Reflexology therapy is not like gentle caresses, but she tries not to make it hurt too much either.  At the end of that session, I could walk perfectly normally on my left foot and heel, and knew she had found the direct cause of my Plantar Fasciitis and "cured" or eliminated it.

The very bad right heel was also much less swollen (it is hard to note that swelling yourself, as the  heel is so tough normally, but she could feel inside better each session.  In a couple of more sessions, (maintaining the left heel also) she found 4 or more "plaques" in the right heel, which I was still limping badly on.

It took a couple more sessions for her to “crush” those all down to sizes she can no longer feel. After those were crushed, I was no longer crippled.  I can walk, even run normally and dance.

It is wonderful, and she definitely "healed" me or how she puts it ‘She helped with the healing process.’

In the 3 years I have been coming to Martine for the Four Fold Therapy,  I have been  amazed on how her energy work affects me.

For example, daily problems and stresses in life sometimes will take you be surprise. One time, I found out some disturbing news about my health. I came to her crying, every cell in my body felt heavy and depressed. I felt emotionally overwhelmed. It was too much to deal with, how could this be happening to me? Through her healing energy work during the session, the negative emotional sting and pain associated with the issue left. When I left her session I felt a sense of peace and resolve that I could handle my life again. The negative emotional pain attached to the issue was gone! Amazing!

You have to experience it to believe it! She has a truly wonderful healing gift. At times I can literally feel an electrical current from her hands, even when they are not touching me directly. Do I understand the gift? No, I don't need to. For me, the results speak for themselves. It all starts with me trusting her with my personal issues and being open for healing. I love how her healing sessions affect me afterwards. It is not so much in what I do feel as much as it is the absence for what I don't feel, the negative emotional stress. I walk away with a better life perspective and my whole body feeling balanced. I personally like to think of it as a "do over" for when I get myself stressed and all out of whack.

We laugh about it at my house because even my children with tell me "mom! I think you need to go see Martine now!" They see a difference also!
